Chelsea + Brandon wanted their Muskoka Cottage wedding to be a celebration with their closest friends and family. And a celebration it was indeed. Chelsea was surrounded by the love of her besties while she sat in the hair and make up chair. We have known this amazing couple ever since we met during their engagement session – and we built quite the connection with them. So I could tell that Chelsea was a little jittery while getting ready – which is totally acceptable the morning of your wedding day. With so many emotions, nerves and excitement in the air it’s hard not to feel the way Chelsea was feeling – it’s partly why we LOVE shooting weddings. We love shooting around raw emotion and capturing moments as they unfold before us. Chelsea looked absolutely stunning in her Loversland gown, and was radiating happiness as soon we we arrived to the ceremony location.

As per usual, Brandon wanted to chill out before guests starting arriving for the big moment. The guys rode their toys on the water and spent some quality time with Chelsea + Brandon’s adorable pup Dexter before getting all suited up for the ceremony. To say that the ceremony location was a labour of love is a gigantic understatement. Not only was the ceremony and cocktail hour held at Brandon’s family cottage in Gravenhurst, but their families spent months and months building and preparing a beautiful boathouse to host the ceremony. Talk about a special place to say ‘I do”!

After a tearful first look between Chelsea and her loveable father, it was time for the big moment. With their witnessing family and friends, and Dexter of course, Brandon and Chelsea finally met eyes as she walked down the aisle and exchanged personal vows. Soon after the joyful ceremony, we stole the bridal party away for some photos and some time to hang out with the bride + groom. The reception was held at the Muskoka Bay Club where Chelsea + Brandon’s guests were welcomed with the most gorgeous sunset. And of course we couldn’t resist sneaking the couple away from the party to have some fun in the golden light.

Chels + Brando, thank you so much for inviting us into your day, and being some of the sweetest people we’ve ever had the pleasure of knowing. We are so proud to be the lucky ones to tell your story.
